Being a self proclaimed sports-nut, I need my weekend snacks to go along with the big game. Today I am going to share with you my chips and salsa recipe. This healthy game-day snack is loaded with health-promoting veggies! I’ll also share my new healthy brand of chips.

Ingredients
*6 large tomatoes
*1/2 red onion
*2-3 cloves of garlic
*Big handful of cilantro
*1 Red bell pepper
*1 Jalapeno pepper
*1 Serrano pepper (optional for heat)
*2 limes
*Salt/Pepper

Directions
Put onion and peppers on grill (high heat) for 1 minute each side just to get that delicious roasted/grill flavor. Add all ingredients into blender or vita-mix for 1-2 minutes. Pour into bowl and you are ready to go!

Chips
I am usually not a fan of chips because most corn is GMO and I hate everything wheat, so that rules out tortilla chips. Most corn or tortilla chips that you buy will also be loaded with very unhealthy omega 6 oils like sunflower oil, etc. I love Kale chips and eat them every week, but they are too fragile for dipping.

This new brand of Organic Corn chips is awesome! The brand is called Jackson’s Honest. So far I have only seen them at Whole Foods. They only use organic corn and for the oil they use COCONUT oil. It’s about time someone put together a healthy chip!
